Better known as Marty, he was born in Oakland, CA, the oldest of seven siblings, to June and Jim Allan.  Marty graduated from Mt. Diablo High School in Concord and went on to earn a business degree from Cal State Hayward.  He was briefly married and had a daughter to which he welcomed into his new relationship with the love of his life, Beejee Rowney.  Their 55 years of marriage began on a blind date where they fell in love, married and welcomed 4 children.  Marty took a job leading them to Oregon, then another job to Texas.  Coming full-circle back to California in ‘89, he took a few different jobs and then worked for Mariposa Public Works until his retirement.  He was a very involved father to his children supporting them in all endeavors.

He enjoyed involvement in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Master Gardner’s Association, Boosters Club and being president of the Mariposa Farmer’s Market.  Marty’s love for his family was palpable; always sharing and giving praise for their interests and achievements.
