She was born on July 26, 1929, in Santa Paula, CA, and was baptized at the St. Sebastian Church on June 20, 1931. On February 20, 1955, Anna was married in El Paso, Texas to George D. McLean, a well-known realtor in Mariposa County. Together, they built a beautiful life in the home they built on their Mount Bullion ranch while being blessed with four children: Walter, Michael, Philip, and Linda, all of whom survive her. She was later blessed with nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Anna's children were her pride and joy. She poured her heart into raising them with love and kindness.
Before joining the Employment Development Department office, where she worked tirelessly throughout California, Anna had a successful career in the banking industry. Her attention to detail and exceptional bookkeeping skills made her a valued employee. Anna's meticulous nature and her ability to find even the smallest flaw were a testament to her commitment and dedication in everything she did.
Outside of her professional life, Anna found immense joy in hosting private Catholic retreats for the youth on her beloved Mount Bullion ranch. Traveling was another passion of Anna's, and she had the opportunity to explore Europe multiple times, immersing herself in different cultures and broadening her horizons. Despite her love for adventure, Anna also found solace in the simple pleasures of life, such as indulging in Spanish soap operas and spending quality time with her family.
Anna's faith played a central role in her life. She was an active and dedicated member of the Catholic Church and had a deep love for her parish community. Her unwavering commitment to her faith was an inspiration to all who knew her.
