Herman Theodore MuellerNovember 2, 1932 ~ March 20, 2017 (age 84)
Surrounded by family, The Patriarch of the Mueller Family began his eternal life in Heaven on March 20, 2017. Herman Theodore Mueller was born on November 2, 1932 in Santa Maria, CA.
After graduating from Santa Maria High School and attending the Seminary he enlisted in the Navy and was a specialist assigned to Guam. Upon completion of duty, he returned to Santa Maria and attended Allan Hancock College where he earned his A.S. degree in drafting. In 1957 he met and married his soul mate Victoria Verdin and raised three children while residing in Santa Maria. He had a long career working as a draftsman at Vandenberg AFB and as both a draftsman and carpenter at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant.
Ted lived out the latter part of his life with his bride in Mariposa, CA, where he volunteered at the Mariposa Historical Society Museum and was involved in Lush Meadows Association. Wood working, gardening, playing Cribbage, putting together puzzles, and playing host to summer stays by grandkids were just a few things he found enjoyable. When asked how he was doing, his typical answer was that he was magnificent. He had a great sense of humor, was quick witted, and portrayed a magnetic personality. Ted was a proud family man.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents Werner and Anna Mueller as well as his brother Carl Mueller. Herman Theodore is survived by his wife of 59 years, Victoria Mueller, three children Marie (and Stewart) Haarberg, Kevin (and Dorothy) Mueller, and Susan (and Rick Jones) Mueller; six grandchildren Anna (Haarberg) Marvulli, Rachel (Haarberg) Miller; Kyle, Macy, and Cameran Mueller; and John Theodore (Teddy) Jones; four great grandchildren; his sister Elizabeth (Cookie) Givens, sister in law Willie Mueller and brother Herbert (and Linda) Mueller; along with several nieces and nephews.
